“The Energy That Gets The Baby In Gets The Baby Out - Ina May Gaskin.”

When your partner (and birth team) is supportive, loving and encouraging to you during labor you will release tons of oxytocin that helps bring on contractions and will keep your labor flowing. Also a loose jaw, relaxed mouth and soft lips helps relax the vagina (Read about Ina May Gaskin’s “Sphincter Law”). A good make out session kills two birds with one stone. It helps relax the jaw and lips and releases oxytocin. On the other end when trying to conceive when you take the time to make love, have foreplay, really connect with your partner intimately and have an orgasm it gets the energy and juices moving and opens up your body to receive. When you do the baby making hurried sex your body isn’t as receptive. Plus it’s not as Conscious or connected of an energy to conceive from. I always have my clients that do IVF spend some time together at home before they go in for their transfer. I have them cuddle, Tell each other what they love and are grateful for about each other, have foreplay and have the woman have an orgasm( no you don’t need to have sex to do that- plus they don’t allow it before transfer) this way when she goes in for her transfer her body is more receptive and open. For the couple it isn’t such a medical experience because they were able to have that sacred time together to connect.
